Some of the documents on this page are in PDF (Portable Document Format) . You may need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer to download, view and print them (Mac OS X users can simply use the built-in Preview utility).

Others are in Microsoft Word format. If you do not have Microsoft Word installed on your computer, there is free software available including Microsoft Word Viewer 2003 or OpenOffice.org for Windows, and NeoOffice for Mac. If none of those work, e-mail pli@berkeley.edu to request a plain text version of the document.

To use these files, first download the file to an easy-to-find location on your computer (Desktop, for example). After you have succesfully downloaded the file, double-click on the file to open it. If that doesn't work, open the appropriate application first (Adobe Reader or Microsoft Word, for example), then choose File>Open from the menu and navigate to the file in question. If all else fails, e-mail pli@berkeley.edu, and please include the details of the difficulties you are having.
